Father's Day is almost here!

That's right... Father's Day is almost here. Are you ready with your handmade crafts? If not don't stress. I will show you how to make a very simple card that will look masculine and be just the right touch for any gift.

This card my look hard to make, but believe it or not it's pretty simple. Try to use a product line that also has matching embellishments or pieces from the paper that you can cut out. Think about how you can tie it all together, such as how my "The Measure of a Man" tag goes along with the tape measure on the card. Use my simple layout and whola' a homemade card in no time. Finding masculine papers is not always easy. This line from Bo Bonny called Cambridge is an excellent source for creating crafts for the men in your life.

Now... what sentiment to put inside is always a hard task for me so I have gathered up some of my favorites for you. Feel free to use one or all of them for yourself. I have one more Father's Day card to share with you  this week. So stay tuned...

My job was to test the boundaries
Your job was to make sure I survived the test!
Thanks for being the guiding hand I needed.

Dad, your guiding hand on my shoulder
will remain with me forever.

The greatest gift I ever had came from God
and I call him dad!

Wishes for a great day!

    1. Thank you Alison I had a lot of fun making this card. Hope you have a great day!

  2. Wonderful card! Love the tape measure!

    1. Hi Margaret! I love using the tape measure on projects. Thank you!

  3. This is such a great card...I love the way you incorporate paper, embellishments and fibers. Also, the vignette you created for the photo is wonderful. Sometimes, photographing a project takes me more time than making it! Fabulous quotes, too!

    1. Hi Kathy! Thanks for the compliments!! I agree that the photo sometimes takes longer or just as long as making the project!
