Target mailbox

This adorable Valentine project is all in thanks to Target for these adorable mailboxes they had in their dollar bin. Yep! That's right. These 2 Target mailboxes were just a dollar each. The mailboxes come plain. Painted in colors pink, white, and red. My Target only had 2 mailboxes left when I fell upon these 2 red ones. And I snatched them up right away. From my understanding these Target mailboxes are hot items right now and I can see why. They were so much fun to decorate. Because I only have two I have decided to give them to my son's teacher and aide. What to fill them with is my next project. I decorated matching note cards for each Target mailbox. Which mailbox do you like best? If I happen upon any more of these gems I'm buying a ton! What a perfect "welcome to the neighborhood" or "Blessings on your new home" these would make. If you love the idea and want to make some Target mailboxes for yourself get on over there fast as they are running out!!

Today is New Year's Eve and I would like to wish all of my readers a very Happy New Year! There are many projects on board for the coming year to share with all of you. And of course more blog candy coming soon... *Cheers*

Stamptacular Challenge!

Snowtacular is the theme this week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. For this week’s challenge you have to create a card or some other project that has some sort of snow. The snow can be part of a scene on the stamp you use, snowflakes, or you can use some other stamping technique to create your snow…it’s all up to you!

I chose to use snowflakes. I used them as an embossed background and as my main image. This challenge was perfect for using my new Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. I've only had it for 3 months and have yet to get the chance to use it! LOL What fun! I hope you decide to join in the challenge. There is a great prize being offered this week.

Happy Holidays!

Paper = SU (Whisper White, Basful Blue, Kraft)
Stamps = SU
Ribbon = SU Bashful Blue & Twine

Wedded Bliss

Hello everyone! How was your Christmas? Was Santa good to you? Hopfully you received some scrappy yummies. My hubby gave me a Scor-Pal. I am so excited to own one. Isn't he a keeper? My family and I had a wonderful holiday and I hope you did too.

My cousin and his new wife were married this month in Costa Rica. The reception is here in the states next weekend. To allow all of us who could not swing the cost of the wedding to celebrate. I made them this wedding card with money holder today. Her colors were pink, tan and white. I think SU's cardstock worked perfectly for this color combo. I also used some of my new Just Rite supplies. Can you see where I used my Scor-Pal?

In the process of making this card my hubby & son tried to install my new web cam. It was a little crowded in here to say the least! But we got it working and it is so much fun to use. Of course my son wanted to play with it right then and there. I had ink, stamps, ribbon, etc. all over the place. I don't know about you but I have to complete one project before I start another. So I made him wait until I at least was done with the ink.

Well before we know it new Year's will be here. Do any of you have plans? We usually get snacks, champagne and celebrate at home. I hope you have a wonderful new Year!

Paper = SU (Regal Rose, Natural, Whisper White)

Mojo Monday

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I have been able to share a project that I wanted to make rather than filling an order. I know it has been allot of the same thing around here lately. All of my orders are filled and it's back to creating on a whim. This gift set is for my sister's birthday. The card is based off of the Mojo Monday sketch for this week. Gosh it's been forever since I did one of their sketches. What fun!!

Have you gotten all of your holiday shopping done? I only need to get a few gift cards and I'm finished shopping. Now wrapping is a whole other story. This Thursday I am baking cookies with my Mom & sisters. I hope to bring home lots of goodies for gifts.

Thanks for stopping by! I love to see you guys.

Money Holder

Good morning! We woke up to temperatures of 2 today. Add in the wind chill and it's -21. Yikes that's cold. Great day to stay inside and craft. These little scallop cards are actually money holders. I made 1/2 a scallop for the inside and adhered only on the ends. I'd show you a pic but I had to write in it before I taped it on because of the large brads and ribbon. Too hard to write on top of those two things. But... the bottom of the card is the 1/2 scallop to hold money and the inside top is a smaller scallop layered to stamp the sentiment and write on. These are for my 2 Nephews who will be celebrating their birthdays this Friday. They are brothers and their birthday's are 2 days apart. Plus their Mom's b-day is Christmas day. Phew... that's allot of gifts for one month.

I hope you are doing well with your holiday shopping and wrapping. Anyone doing some baking? I am getting together with my Mom and sisters next week for a day of cookie baking. Yummy!! I'll take some pics to share.

No time to write supplies right now. I'll be back to add that all in. I must run to work now. Have a great day!

Note Card Tins

Hey Guys, hope you had a wonderful weekend. We cut down our Christmas tree and decorated it this weekend. It's so pretty! That's always a special day for us. We go to the same tree farm each year. They have horse drawn carriage rides, pony rides, Santa Shop with the best hot cocoa around! We have gotten our tree there for the last 11 years. And we still have not won the free tree given away each year.

I have a few note card tins to share with you today. All 5 of these are for one customer. They want to pass them out to their employees as gifts this year. I made them all the same except each has a different accent color. All are filled with 12 note cards and envelopes in black & white and then their accent color.

I wish you all a great week! Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Tin

I sure hope all of my state side friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Did you take part in black Friday or cyber Monday? I did both. I was in line at Target at 3:00 am on black Friday. And I bought some stamping items for me on cyber Monday. Woo Whooo!

Yes, I am still making these Christmas Tins. LOL I keep getting orders for them weekly. I still have 1 more to make. This time around I used a new line of papers that I got at Michael's called AC Patterned Paper (Merrymint). It's so cheerful and bright. I loved working with it. Stampin Up's Baja Breeze matched perfectly with it! *Bonus* The other tin I will do in these papers as well.

Supplies: too many to list.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great day.

Turning 70!

This little card is for a wonderful lady who is turning 70. My sister ordered it for her MIL and I will be giving it to her on Thanksgiving. They are throwing the MIL a huge party and the theme is "Steppin' into the 70's". I was told she likes hot pink and the color seemed perfect for this stamp. The stamped image was given to me by Pam, a friend over at Thank you Pam it is perfect! I printed the sentiment out rather than stamping it. I needed the font to be small enough to fit in SU's scallop circle. The font I used was Harrington. The sentiment on the inside was also a gift from Pam. Perfect for this occasion. I hope she likes it.

Thank you!

Thank you ladies for your kind replies and emails about the craft show. Your words have put a smile on my face and made me feel so much better. Thank you! You all are the best!! Yesterday an opportunity fell into my lap for another craft show in December. I have decided to give it a go. So I will be doing a craft show on Dec. 5th and the 10th. All the hard work is already done so it should go much smoother. Also yesterday I received 2 big phone orders from previous customers and that helped brighten my day too. Upward and onward!!

The Craft Fair

Well the craft fair is all over with and I am so glad it is done. Here is what my booth looked like. The craft fair was 2 days long. And I barely made my booth rental fee. It was a total bomb. :( I am feeling so discouraged. Especially after how long it took me to make all of the items. Craft fairs are a lot of work!! I have an invitation to go to two more of them in December. But my heart just isn't in it. Although who wants to sit on all of this stuff I just made? LOL We'll see.

Gift Card Tin

Hi girls! What a night... my little guy is sick and none of us got much sleep last night not too mention he was up again at 5:45 this morning. *yawn* There are several craft fairs going on today and I am going to go and scout them out. Just to see how the booths are set up and the pricing of items. Should be some fun secret shopping!

Well we are down to the week of my craft fair. It's a big one with over 300 vendors spread out in 3 huge open space buildings. I am a little nervous to jump right into such a huge show my first time out. But it could pay off Big Time! I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes. I may not be posting much for the rest of the week as I will be stressed to get all of the details in order. Such as business cards, company sign, table design... etc.

Did I mention that I had signed up for a smaller show to begin with but it was canceled due to lack of vendors? It was going to be at a local school. Just my speed I thought for my first time. I was so bummed when I got that email. Esp. after making so much stuff. So I did some research and found the Big craft show going on for the same weekend. And decided rather than sit on all of my items ... give it a shot! Wish me luck.

These little tins are to place gift cards in. They are very popular with my current customers. They are the same size as an Altoid tin. But these tins are brand new. I bought them wholesale online. I have made several of these for the craft fair.

Thanks for coming in to see me. I should have a lot of news after the weekend to share with you.

Craft fair item #4

Hi Guys! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. One more week until my craft fair. I am getting a little nervous. Am I going to have enough of an inventory, is my booth going to be nice enough, will any of my items sell, are all questions that keep popping up in my little head. We'll find out soon enough eh? In the mean time I am going to just keep crafting away.

These jars are meant to put candy or any other Christmas goodie in. Fudge would be excellent or small cookies. The jars I bought wholesale online. So no more waiting to eat spaghetti! LOL The only tricky part is lining up both ends of the paper as you wrap it around the jar.

Thanks for stopping by!

Craft Fair Item #3

Holiday purses! This project was inspired by my friend Jamie who gave me one of these cute little purses in a swap! (lucky me) I am going to hang these on a Christmas tree next to my craft fair booth. These purses are great to hold so many items. And because they are made from brown paper bags you can put holiday goodies in them! Home made fudge, cookies, peppermint bark, you name it. So... would you like to know how to make them? Check this blog out here for the instructions. Happy crafting.

Craft Fair Item #2

I have been wanting to make this little box filled with gift tags ever since I saw it in the Stampin Up catalog. I had to nag my demonstrator to get me the template and hosted a large party just to get the stamps (which are a hostess set) in order to make this. I plan on making 6 for the craft fair. The template I was given is only for the bottom. I had to make the top myself. The top cut out has a window sheet behind it. I still need to cut the holes and place in the string on each tag. But I wanted to share this with all of you ... now! Heehee I think these may also be my teacher gifts this year.

Craft Fair item#1

These little reindeer jars are so much fun to make. I felt like a little elf working in Santa's shop! LOL These are great little gifts to hand out during the Christmas season. They are just baby food jars decorated and then filled with oatmeal and sprinkles. I decided to slip a little poem in each jar.

" Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
Santas reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home."

The idea is to sprinkle the reindeer food on your lawn on Christmas Eve. How fun is that? I have made 18 of these to sell at the craft fair. And I have no idea what to charge. How much would you charge for one jar?

6 Christmas Tins

Wowzers!! Are my hands ever tired. Wanna know what I've been up to? Take a guess... tins, tins, and more tins. Yep... I made all of these 6 tins at once. It took me forever, but I can honestly say every order taken from my party has been filled. Thank goodness! Now it's time to move on creating items for an up coming craft fair I have signed up to be in. I only have 2 1/2 weeks to get ready for it. Yikes. Sorry for being away from the pc lately. My craft studio is in full force these days. I thank each and every one of you for hanging in there with me and coming by to check in. I always love seeing you here.

These tins were made using the 2009 Christmas papers from Stampin Up! Along with matching ribbon, ink, and stamps.
